Job Description
Official Title: Director III
Salary Grade: SG27
Job Description:
- Provides legal services, as appropriate and as requested, to the Department, its Bureaus and its Offices;
- Assumes primary responsibility for research and evaluation of the legal aspects of all Orders, Memoranda, Circulars and other issuances (other than those of the Bureau of Customs and the Bureau of Internal Revenue) for review by the supervising Undersecretary prior to submission to the Secretary and for this purposes shall be provided with copies of such draft issuances by the appropriate Group undertaking the non-legal substantive drafting and/or evaluation of such issuances at an earlier enough stage so as to enable the Undersecretary to review the legal aspects in sufficient time; provided, however, that such primary responsibility shall not prohibit the other Groups and their subordinate units from developing, possessing or utilizing their own legal expertise;
- Prepares draft opinions/rulings for signature of the Secretary or his Deputy on matters elevated to it by the Bureaus and Offices of the Department;
- Conducts legal researches on all matters referred to it by the Secretary or his Deputies
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree
- Must have 3 years of supervisory experience
- Must have Career Service Executive Eligibility (CSEE) or Career Executive Service (CES) Certification
