Job Description
  • Listens to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;
  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • Responds to incoming email and phone inquiries;
  • Acting as a contact between the company and it's existing and potential markets;
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and closing sales;
  • Gathers market and customer information;
  • Represents the company at trade exhibitions and events;
  • Negotiates with clients on price, costs, delivery and specifications;
  • Challenges an objection with a view to persuading the customer to purchase;
  • Advises clients about new product developments and special promotions;
  • Assists in the creation of detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer;
  • Record sales and order information;
  • Review own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
  • Gains a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
  • Makes accurate, cost calculations and provides customers with quotations;
  • Attends team meeting and shares best practice with colleagues;
  • Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
