Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer who will play a crucial part in transforming intricate technical documentation, including regulatory requirements and standards, into clear and user-friendly formats tailored for internal use within our customer's workforce.
Your expertise will ensure that content aligns with federal regulations, state requirements, and various industry standards such as OSHA, MSHA, OH&S, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, NEC, ASTM, ASME, and others.
- Copy-Editing and Revision: Skillfully review and revise existing content for grammar, spelling, and formatting errors while adhering to established internal guidelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Thoroughly assess content against regulatory, federal, and state requirements to confirm adherence to current regulations. Make necessary edits and revisions to ensure compliance.
- Multi-Format Review: Evaluate content across diverse formats, including LMS platforms, digital training kits, safety meetings, safety manuals, and pocket manuals. Modify content as needed for consistency.
- Auditing Platform Alignment: Scrutinize safety manual content against various online auditing platforms to maintain compliance with their specific requirements and processes.
- Content Creation: Develop new content as required to meet regulatory or online auditing platform specifications.
- Documentation Consolidation: Identify opportunities to consolidate or combine safety topics across different product types, eliminating duplication, or condensing content for enhanced clarity.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Adobe Suite, and web-based Learning Management Systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong copy-editing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects to meet internal deadlines.
- Profound comprehension of complex information and adeptness in translating it into accessible written formats.
- Familiarity with a range of regulatory requirements and industry standards is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- At least 15mbps for the main internet and at least 10mbps for backup
- A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup
