Job Description
Our development and infrastructure team is growing at a fast pace. We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to help design, develop, manage and scale our global cloud infrastructure that powers our digital photo frames and digital signage deployments in homes and businesses all over the world.
Responsibilities:
- Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available systems on AWS
- Identifying appropriate use of AWS operational best practices
- Identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS
- Selecting the appropriate AWS services based on compute, data, or security requirement
- Troubleshoot performance degradation or loss of service during time critical incidents
- Manage and support build configuration & deployment scripts for services
- Manage system support and system monitoring
- Provide integration support for metrics gathering and monitoring tools in our services
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Solid administration experience with Linux
- Previous experience of developing and debugging backend services (using syslog, debugging tools, etc)
- Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS
- Experience scaling an application and/or its hosting environment to support increases in traffic.
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation & Ansible
- Experience with node.js would be beneficial
- Some experience of creating, running and debugging container services
- Some experience with micro services and server-less (lambda) architectures
- Some experience with NGINX, MySQL
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of scripting using shell (bash/ksh)
- Experience in database design and management (RDS, DynamoDB)
- Willing to work during US business hours (9pm - 6am local time)
Bonus points:
- Understanding of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems and environments
- Experience with Kubernetes, container management and orchestration
- Good network knowledge
