An Accounting Assistant will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:
- Reconciling finance accounts
- Credit control
- Preparing statutory accounts
- Cash allocation
- Sales order processing
- Managing daily post in and out
- Receiving and processing all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment
- Verifying calculations working with the Accounts system
- Reconciliation of Direct Debit mandates
- Managing petty cash transactions
General support functions:
- Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
- Assist in month end reporting procedures
- Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
- Track and audit petty cash
- Assist with employee expense reports
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- At least Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
- At least 6-months relevant experience.
- Good analytical and problems solving skills.
- Excellent organization/ time management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel & Word
