Job Description
- Configure and install various network devices and services including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Devices and Monitoring tools)
- Setup and configure complex LAN & WAN environments
- Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Assist with the selection of network devices, services & security tools
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Write and collate documentation relevant to the Crawford APAC Network Environment ensuring the documentation remains current.
- Provide a weekly reporting to management
- Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT related subject or equivalent experience
- 5 years' experience providing 2nd and 3rd line Network Support
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience
- CCNA certification highly valued
- Proven experience in Fortigate Firewalls
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g. IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, SIP)
- Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Windows 2008/2012 server and/or SQL experience - beneficial
- Experience in Active Directory - beneficial
- Proven experience with Virtual/Cloud Infrastructure and Networking - beneficial
- Sophos Anti-Virus/Safeguard Encryption - beneficial
- VoIP Telephony (Mitel preferably) - beneficial
