A. Project Initiation Activities

• Identifies project objectives
• Defines and documents initial high-level scope and project requirements
• Identifies project stakeholders
• Prepares high-level project estimates for go-no go decisions

B. Project Planning

• Performs data gathering on project requirements
• Defines scope of work and project output
• Prepares Work Breakdown Structure
• Defines project activities and sequence
• Estimates resource requirements and activity durations and develops project schedule
• Prepares cost estimates and budgets
• Defines quality requirements and standards and prepares quality assurance plan
• Documents project roles and responsibilities
• Plans human resource requirements
• Prepares communications plan
• Performs risk management planning

C. Project Execution

• Directs and manages project execution
• Performs quality assurance
• Puts together the project team
• Develops the project team by ensuring they have the skills to perform the job well
• Manages the project team
• Distributes project information
• Manages stakeholder expectations
• Procures/acquires resources from third-party vendors or contractors

D. Project Monitoring & Control

• Tracks, reviews and regulates project progress in accordance with the project plan
• Tracks and responds to issues raised
• Controls and manages change
• Verifies completion of project milestones
• Controls scope, schedules, resources and costs
• Monitors and controls quality
• Monitors and controls risks
• Manages relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers
• Prepares regular and ad hoc project reports and communicates these to concerned stakeholders
• Maintains project documentation

D. Project Closing

• Obtains formal acceptance by project sponsor and users
• Conducts post-project review and documents findings and conclusions
• Organizes and files all project documentation

• Bachelor’s degree holder of any course from an accredited university or college, preferably, IT related course
• Formal training in project management
• -8 years experience in the IT field, 3-4 years of solid PM work
• Experience/knowledge in LIFE Insurance
• Strong project management knowledge and skills
• Good grasp of project management tools
• Solid understanding of technology and latest trends
• Good grasp of technology environment required by projects
• Thorough knowledge of software development and maintenance processes
• Very knowledgeable in systems analysis and design
• Good at doing research into project-related issues and products
