Release Testers  

The Release Testers conduct release and test planning and develop release test plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans and executes test scripts.
• Identify and gather test data to execute test scripts.
• Performs system, regression, smoke test, and user acceptance testing activities and document results.
• Identify, document and troubleshoot system errors.
• Perform triage and prioritization of defects.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Complete required test status reports.
• Assist Data Engineers/Developers and participate in technical analysis.
• Participate in debugging activities related to system level problems and issues.
• Review project-related documentation (project plans, requirements and design documents and risk and issue logs).
• Provide release support when needed.
• Conduct demos for stakeholders.
• Participate in release related activities including pre-release planning, mock release activities, smoke testing during release and disaster recovery testing.
• Identify, analyze, articulate business and functional requirements with stakeholders.
• Assist with requirements gathering activities and Use Case development.
• Analyze requirements in terms of system functionality to define the problem and formulate potential solutions.
• Provide review and comment on technical documentation for current and future applications.
• Meet with end users and developers to translate business needs into technical and design specifications.
• Develops an understanding of databases and integration of systems to ensure thorough analysis.

Hiring Criteria:

• BS Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (Computer or Telecommunications) or its equivalent
• Background in Big Data technologies such as Spark, Talend
• 3+ years experience in testing, test planning, test design, test script development, defect tracking and test reporting
• Knowledge of SQL database tools for researching, testing and resolving identified system issues.
• Knowledge of requirements gathering disciplines such as Use Case development
• Knowledge of software development life cycle.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and translate information into easily understandable and concise documents and oral presentations.
• Ability to analyze systems and business workflow procedures.
• Ability to coordinate and solve complex problems, handle multiple priorities/tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to learn, quickly comprehend, and apply new concepts, technology and tools
