Job Description

We are seeking for men and women who are self-driven, energetic, take initiatives, goal-oriented, has superb customer service skills, strictly observes schedules and deadlines, relentless and persistent in the submission of deliverables.

JOB / POSITION SUMMARY

The Merchandising Assistant assists in the over-all merchandising functions, especially in the items set-up, encoding and updating of purchase orders to the database. She is also responsible for working with the entire Operations Team to ensure that all purchases, documents with necessary form attachments and product systems are being processed and updated in a timely manner. The Merchandising Assistant is also expected to help the Sales Team and Customers with product knowledge and provides direct communication to their queries and updates the status of their orders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures all products are displayed properly for proper visual merchandising.
  • Assists customers and provide for information for their needs.
  • Performs sales techniques to convince the customers to purchase the products and meet the sales targets.
  • Answers customers question about prices, products availability and usage.
  • Recommends products to customers based on customers’ need and interests from a particular market segment.
  • Assists in physical counts and inventory audits.
  • Ensures the warehouse is well-arranged.
  • Ensures to display the product by first in first out basis in the selling area (FIFO System).
  • Ensures to check the expiry date of the product time to time from warehouse to selling area.

Minimum Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Female
  • With a Bachelor’s or College Degree in any Business-related courses, Entrepreneurship Studies or its equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in retail, buying or merchandising
  • With strong relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
  • With a strong command of retail math, including the understanding of markdowns, gross margin, inventory turn, ROI (return of investment), etc.
  • Highly-organized and has a strong sense of ownership
  • Has a superb time management skills
  • Can work with minimum supervision and can cope well with pressures as well as deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • With demonstrated track record of taking initiative and responsibilities and more so, driving results
  • Available to start anytime
  • Preferably lives near Makati Area
