Job Description
- Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
- Analyzing data collected and recording results.
- Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost,
- Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Monitors and analyzes accounting data, and produces financial reports or statements.
- Establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinates and completes annual audits.
- Provides recommendations.
- Improves systems and procedures, and initiates corrective actions.
- Assigns projects and directs staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meets financial accounting objectives.
- Establishes and maintains fiscal files, and records to document transactions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant.
- Minimum of 3 solid years of General and Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on a developmental and analysis of cost standards.
- Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills.
- Sound understanding of accounting principals.
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, annual reports.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Open to work on Saturdays
