IT Administrator | Coworking Space Company | BGC, Taguig City  

The IT Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of information technology systems hardware and software and related infrastructure of the Company. He also participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the Company’s infrastructure. He ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, clients, and partners

Responsibilities

• Check all the network switches, hubs, routers, modems, firewall, cables, and other devices used for the Company’s local area network, communication systems, security, and internet access.
  • Ensure that all these are working under optimal performance.
• Establishe network specifications by:
  • Conferring with users.
  • Analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
  • Designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Establish network by:
  • Evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency.
  • Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment.
  • Defining network policies and procedures.
  • Establishing connections and firewalls.
• Maintain network performance by:
  • Performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshooting network problems.
  • Escalating problems to vendor(s).
• Secure network by:
  • Developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation.
  • Maintaining documentation.
• Prepare users by:
  • Designing and conducting training programs.
  • Providing references and support.
• Upgrade network by:
  • Conferring with vendors.
  • Developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• Meet financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.
• Update job knowledge by:
  • Participating in educational opportunities.
  • Reading professional publications.
  • Maintaining personal networks.
  • Participating in professional organizations.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Develop policies and capabilities for the Company’s compliance with all laws and regulations on data privacy, including Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) and its implementing regulations.
• Create and verify backups of data
• Where necessary, appear before third parties, including government offices, as the representative of the Company and/or its clients.
• Assist in the formulation, drafting, and/or amendments of guidelines, policies, systems, and procedures.
• Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders, and effectively deal with external parties, e.g., regulators, external IT consultants, clients, suppliers, etc., and create relations of trust with them.
• Effectively handle ad hoc assignments.
• Report significant issues to management/client.
• Base decision making process on professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

• Bachelor's degree, with a technical major such as Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years work experience iin the same capacity or related field.
