Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is underwritten according to our Underwriter guidelines and authority levels
- Negotiate claims settlements with either claimants or their solicitors in line with local legislative and regulatory and procedural guidelines
- Co-ordinate and complete administrative duties necessary for you and your team's success
- Process new business, renewals, reviews, endorsements and cancellations in accordance with authority limits
- Manage reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices.
- Compile and distribute reports including Commission Payment Reports for our Advisers and aligned Brokers and provide report summaries to executive management.
- Provide support to Advisers and aligned Brokers on use of our underwriting platform (overtime).
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain digital filing system
- Write and distribute emails, correspondence, memos, faxes and forms
- Act as a point of contact for internal staff, contractors, advisers aligned brokers and external clients
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Order office supplies and research new deals with suppliers
- Organise and schedule appointments
- Maintain contact lists
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
Minimum Qualifications
- An ability to listen, digest information and report on it in a way that it can be processed by different audiences (stakeholders, lawyers, medical, financial etc)
- Strong administrative skills and an ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to confidently handle sensitive, confidential information (such as commission payment reports).
- Experience using Microsoft Excel essential.
- Experience using Accounting and or Underwriting software preferred.
Administrative Requirements
- Experience working as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant (preferred)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
- Act as an office manager by keeping up with office supply inventory
