Job Description
- Remaining in frequent contact with the Design Director, ensuring clear and concise communication between offices.
- Designing and creating key communication outputs: 3d visuals, 2D Drawings, Mood Boards, Concept boards, etc.
- Drafting: creating 2 and 3D drawings for consent, tender and construction packages
- Maintaining and updating company drafting Standards.
- Health and Safety: Thinking with a Design H&S mindset when designing (to ensure that contractors, maintenance staff and customers are kept as safe as possible during the construction and life of a scheme).
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years Retail Interior Design experience (as Architect or Interior Designer) with in:
- Concept design
- Documentation production
- Consent applications
- On Site experience is useful
- A high level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop- is a must. MS Publisher and/or Illustrator useful.
- A general knowledge of MS suite (including Excel).
- Experience of Maintaining and Developing CAD Standards.
- Essential attributes:
- Good communicator with clear written and spoken English.
- Clear Health and Safety mind set.
- AutoCAD standards proficient.
- Able to work calmly under pressure.
- Fast learner.
- A grasp of New Zealand Building Code and Standards would be ideal, or an ability to pick them up quickly.
- Ability to work as a loan Designer in an environment of other unrelated professional workers.
- A good technical understanding of AutoCAD- as the will initially be working as a solo designer, an ability to set up the nuances of the programme is essential.
- Ability to work New Zealand hours.
