Job Description
Role and Opportunity
The Accountant is a varied role covering all aspects of both management and financial accounting for five (5) entities. You will be working closely with the Director and General Manager.
Purpose
As an Accountant, your tasks include:
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Oversee Bookkeeper and the payroll processing
- Bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Reconciliation of ledger accounts including journal preparation
- Budgeting, cashflows and variance analysis
- BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, Long Service Leave and STP reporting
- Weekly Management P&L to Director
- Year-end accounts
- Contribute to the team effort
- Perform other duties that the client and management may require.
Daily tasks
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
Weekly Tasks
- Overdue Receivables & Payables
- Numbers reporting to the Managing Director
- Intercompany On-charges
Monthly Tasks
- Overdue Receivables & Payables
- Rebates Calculation
- Back Charges and Credits (if any)
- Payroll Tax lodgments
- Superannuation payments
Quarterly Tasks
- Long Service Leave lodgments
- BAS & IAS preparation
Ad hoc Tasks
- Purchase Volumes from Suppliers
- Miscellaneous income tracking
- Marmion Job tracking
- Bugardi On-charges
- Paying personal bills (Managing Director)
- Dorsa Enterprises
- Budget Forecast
- Dealing with Credit Card and Bank
- Motorpass and Bunnings card
- Job reports
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Australian account experience
- Background in processing claims, invoices, and remittances
- Strong MS Excel proficiency and experience with MYOB or similar accounting software
- BI4 Cloud experience
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Teams, OneDrive)

Advantageous (if you have)
- Experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- CPA qualification
- Work experience in the construction industry
