PHP Developer

ROLE

Your new role is to provide support for our Australia-based client in building phenomenal websites and brings epic results to businesses around Australia.

OPPORTUNITIES

As a PHP Web Developer, you will:

• Assist our client with its service requirements
• Be a key contributor in delivering exceptional service in a timely fashion
• Provide other support as necessary to our client.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Develop and assist in the implementation of Web based applications (WordPress) primarily with PHP, MYSQL, JS and AJAX
  • Maintain functional and appealing websites that are consistent across all browsers and platforms
  • Manage upgrades, patches, etc. of the WordPress platform
  • Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface
  • Create quality mock-ups and prototypes for presentation and testing purposes
• Manage hosting environment including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
• Assist with the testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of landing pages and websites
• Implement automated testing platforms
• Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for clients and the business
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and promote usability best practices
• Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and maintain excellent standards of customer service at all times
• Perform other duties that the client and management may require.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Technologies:

• WordPress: PHP, MYSQL, JS, AJAX
• JavaScript coding, HTML, CSS/HTML5 Front End WordPress templating
• Use version control of some form (Git preferred)
• Proficiency in a back-end programming language
• Basic knowledge of hosting / content delivery networks
• Knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs

Position Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ in PHP development
• Demonstrate excellence in WordPress website Development & Debugging
• Exposure to Australian business culture (preferred).
