Role
You will provide administrative support for Australian-based financial advisers on a portfolio of products and prepare reports and statements of advice for clients. As a Senior Paraplanner, you will:
- Prepare financial plans and statement of advice which are legally binding documents
- Be a key contributor in delivering SOAs and ROAs in a timely fashion
- Assist Financial Planners in reviewing, analyzing and preparing financial plans
- Prepare and review documentation and reports for Financial Planners including maintaining and improving templates
- Input data and modeling of client strategies through Xplan or other relevant software
- Conduct research and analysis of data
- Research technical strategies and new products as required
- Ensure strict compliance with legislation and licensee standards
- Oversee the production of SOAs
- Constantly be tested and given opportunities to develop your skills
Your daily tasks will include:
- Provide day-to-day support to Australian Financial Planners
- Prepare Statements of Advice which includes modeling of Financial Advice based on client instructions and provide supporting documents or reports when necessary
- Produce scenarios/Cash Flows when requested
- Directly liaise with clients, fund managers, superannuation funds, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to execute plan strategies
- Update XPLAN and other relevant software based on documents provided by the client
- Invoice clients accurately in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit weekly sales report to the management
- Liaise with senior management when necessary
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the client and/or the management
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Australian Statement of Advice preparation
- Diploma of Financial Planning (RG146) compliant
- Experience with XPLAN and Xtools+
- Experience with Smartsheet and Midwinter would be preferable
- Previous exposure to Australian clients
- Awareness of Australian business culture
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, in particular, Excel, and Word
- Has experience in overseeing paraplanning production or paraplanning team would be preferable
