Job Description

  • Will directly report to Area Manager
  • Oversee daily operations of assigned branches;
  • Conduct sales-generating activities to increase revenues;
  • Monitor sales and purchases;
  • Perform inventory management;
  • Prepare operating reports;
  • Manage staffing which includes schedule and skill sets;
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers.
  • Approved plans are cascaded to each direct subordinate for implementation.
  • Quarterly and monthly activities in assigned stores are scheduled according to priority and business impact.
  • Direct subordinates are trained on manpower scheduling.
  • Operational budget per assigned store is submitted for approval taking into consideration sales targets for each store.
  • New and existing policies and procedures pertaining to store operations are implemented in all assigned stores according to standards of operations.
  • Manning levels per store are implemented based on approved structure.
  • Work expectations as station in the job descriptions of direct subordinates are discussed with all concerned incumbents.
  • Distribution of work of subordinates is implemented according to defined responsibility, authority and accountability.
  • Authority levels are communicated and followed.
  • Decisions requiring approval of or consultation with superiors are made accordingly.
  • Directions, policies and procedures are communicated to all assigned stores through appropriate channels.
  • Monthly operations meetings (Business Review) are attended as scheduled.
  • Performance of each store in assigned area is monitored for possible qualification in any approved rewards and recognition programs.
  • Recommendation and justification for employee promotion, hiring and termination/ end of contract are submitted to the Operations Manager for approval.
  • Hiring policies and procedures are followed based on the approved manning guide.
  • Training needs of subordinates are identified. Subordinates are recommended to attend management, behavioral and technical programs- as needed.
  • Key performance indicators are established and communicated to subordinates.
  • Concurrent feedbacking and performance review are conducted with direct subordinates based on factual evidences. These are conducted in a timely manner according to established or agreed schedule.
  • Company rules and regulations on disciplinary actions are followed.
  • Training and coaching are done to address performance gaps of immediate subordinates.
  • Sales and operating income targets for stores in assigned area are achieved.
  • Direct personnel cost of all assigned stores is monitored and maintained within allowable limits.
  • Food and beverage cost is monitored and maintained within allowable limits.
  • Overhead expenses are monitored and maintained within allowable limits.
  • Overall inventory levels of all assigned stores are tracked to ensure that they are maintained within the established minimum levels.
  • Spoilage and breakage rate in all assigned stores is maintained within established limit.
  • Required accounting reports are accurately and completely submitted to superiors.
  • Approved store layout, interior and exterior design are implemented in all assigned stores.
  • Brand image is consistently promoted in all assigned stores.
  • Approved menu is consistently implemented in all assigned stores.
  • New products are introduced to all assigned stores.
  • Promotional activities are communicated and implemented according to approved marketing plans.
  • Relevant marked data in assigned area are collected, analyzed and relayed to immediate superior.
  • Approved local store marketing programs are relayed to all assigned stores for implementation.
  • Food preparation, cooking and food storage in each assigned store is monitored for compliance with prescribed standards.
  • Food sanitation and safety standards are communicated and monitored for implementation.
  • Prescribed service steps is communicated and monitored for implementation in each assigned store.
  • Table visits of regular guests are conducted during store visits.
  • Escalated guest complaints are investigated and rectified immediately according to policies and procedures.
  • Actual guest complaints are analyzed and consolidated for submission to immediate superior.
  • Approved housekeeping procedures and standards are communicated to all assigned restaurants and monitored for compliance.
  • Approved safety and security measures are communicated and monitored for implementation.
  • Quality, Service and Cleanliness (QSC) audits of assigned stores are conducted according to prescribed procedures.
  • Food safety audits of assigned stores are conducted according to prescribed procedures.
  • Spot audit of petty cash fund and change fund are conducted.
  • Minimum acceptable audit ratings of assigned stores are achieved. Enhancement steps are undertaken to maintain and improve rating. Corrective actions in case of audit variances against minimum standard are carried out.
  • Summary of audit reports for all audited stores are submitted to immediate superior after completion of audit.
  • Store visits are regularly conducted to ensure efficient and effective operations of each assigned store. Frequency of store visits are done in accordance with prescribed schedule.
  • Store visit report is submitted to Operations Manager after each visit.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports of all assigned stores are collected, analyzed and consolidated for submission to superiors.
  • Other reports and updates on store operations are submitted to superiors as required.
  • Reports expected from immediate subordinates are conveyed. Submission is monitored according to agreed schedule.
  • Repairs and maintenance of store equipment and fixtures are reviewed and submitted to Operations Manager for approval.
  • Business permits are monitored to ensure that these are updated.
  • Hiring and training of new personnel is coordinated with HRD.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skill
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Knowledgeable in inventory management;
  • Can conceptualize and execute marketing programs;
  • Must have experience in supervising a team;
  • Can work with sales targets and motivate a team to achieve set goals;
  • Can prepare and analyze branch performance reports, including Profit and Loss Statements;
  • Can work under pressure.
