Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Strategic Planning Director will lead in defining the Company’s direction and develop plans to realize the business goals and objectives. He will also help in maintaining the Company’s competitive advantage and allocate resources appropriately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearheads the creative development process and helps deliver quality output;
  • Develops creative briefs that creates pertinent information and illuminates key insights on target, brand, category, and cultural context;
  • · Solicits and incorporates account and creative input during development of creative brief;
  • Leads creative briefings to ensure alignment and understanding;
  • Provides additional input, support and feedback to creative teams during the development process;
  • Identifies relevant/ important insights about human behavior, assigned brands/ category, business & retail environment, culture, etc.;
  • Designs, conducts, manages, analyzes primary researches; and interprets client research;
  • Conducts audits of relevant areas - retail audit, digital audit, brand audit, advertising audit;
  • Interviews key stakeholders; and leads workshops for stakeholder groups;
  • Seeks untraditional perspectives, using innovative and creative ethnographic approaches;
  • Assists in the identification and articulation brand purpose;
  • Designs and facilitates purpose workshops as needed;
  • Communicates and bring to life brand purpose for internal brand team and client;
  • Collaborates with other strategy disciplines and develops participation strategies;
  • Helps drive growth on assigned businesses;
  • Identifies new communication, target, market opportunities; works with brand team to explore and move forward;
  • Ensures achievement of knowledgeable about service offerings and proprietary tools in other strategic disciplines;
  • Identifies opportunities for expanded scope on assigned businesses and actively partners with counterparts in other disciplines;
  • Participates in department and agency initiatives - thought leadership, training, pro bono, department forums;
  • Begin taking leadership responsibility, proactively identifies and drives efforts;
  • Develops communication strategies which guides creative ideas through the consumer journey;
  • Designs high-level digital, social and communications strategies which are driven by consumer insights and behaviors;
  • Collaborates with digital platform partners (Google, Facebook / Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to integrate and amplify creative ideas.

  • Possesses and has exhibited business acumen and capability to spot potential business opportunities;
  • Exhibits good management & execution skills, drive, energy & persistence to see through projects to completion;
  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills;
  • With good customer relation skills, conflict management and creative solution formulation;
  • Possesses high presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Must be emotionally mature and shows potential for growth in a higher position;
  • Must be open to diversity of thought, culture, people, etc.;
  • Ensures appreciation for the arts; creatively and actively seeks out creative content;
  • Must have deep curiosity about marketing, media, business and new communication platforms; stays current on industry;
  • Must have the ability to tolerate, embrace, and even thrive on ambiguity;
  • Knowledgeable in computer applications – MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.);
  • Ability to work across all levels in the Organization;
  • Must be a team player;
  • Must be self-driven and highly motivated;
  • Must be aggressive and energetic;
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision;
  • Helpful and accommodating nature;
  • Willing to put an extra effort whenever required;
  • Ability to work effectively both in an office-based and field work environment;
  • Must be open to work for long and extended hours;
  • Able to deliver quality work results even under pressure.

PROFESSIONAL DEGREE (PREFERRED COURSE)

  • Bachelor’s/ College Degree in Mass Communication, Business Management or its equivalent.

YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience preferably from a multinational agency.
