FINANCE SPECIALIST  

Under direct supervision, support business units by facilitating and supporting business transactions to meet daily objectives. Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Provide office support as necessary to assist respective field management and individual contributors. Give qualitative statistical information for senior management within agreed timescale and legal requirements.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare daily cash flow (reconcile bank balance) and sales
• Keep daily accounting records into ERP system on an accurate and timely manner (A/P cycle)
• Take invoicing duties by validating rates and tax with supporting documents required
• Compile statistics, analyze variance, calculate revenue and produce reports
• Support daily accounting of branches
• Support year end group consolidated year end statements in line with applicable GAAP and group policies, assist in completion of audits in order to present a fair picture of financial performance to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and standards and scrutinize vendor bill discounts in order to ensure sound accounting
• Communication with banks, vendors, clients in order to execute daily responsibility
• Assist in backlog management and project closure procedures
• Assist others regarding most efficient use of project resource data and program
• Ensure accurate review of project resource data on daily activities
• Ensure transactions (e.g., bids, contracts) are compliant to practices, standards, and systems
• Provide sales administrative support
• Set up transaction controls and internal projects
• Assist in the roll-out of new business processes and systems
• Collaborate with project managers and senior operations management to resolve transaction issues within projects
• Provide ad-hoc reporting to business when requested
• Provide sales initiative administrative support
• Interact with BU, track and review profitability and support in providing corrective action solutions to ensure tracking and improvement of profitability figures
• Monitor compliance of local statues, monitor risk areas for BU, prepare report for corrective actions to ensure compliance and minimize risks
• Support analyzing project resource data to measure key performance indicator actual figures versus forecast
• Track and analyze project accounting transactions and reporting around work-at-risk, accounts receivables and work-in-progress
• Track and report on utilization, forecasting, and expenditures for small scale projects

• Knowledge of accounting standards, laws and regulations, concepts and systems to ensure compliance, internal controls and timely and accurate financial statements
• Understands and applies knowledge of relevant tax-related statutes and provisions to ensure effective compliance, presentation and tax planning
