Since much of the work is done over the phone, agents need to have a pleasant phone voice and a professional but friendly attitude. His/her reponsibilities are as follows:
- Handle all aspects of room or travel reservations for guests and travel agents.
- Make reservations.
- Process payments.
- Confirm arrangements.
- Be aware of all company policies, rates, events, and promotions.
- Using learned sales strategies, upsell additional products and services whenever appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably graduates in Tourism Management, Tourism Major in Marketing, Hospitality (HRM), or its equivalent.
- Work experience in a travel agency an advantage.
- Familiar with tourist destinations in the Philippines and Asia.
- With background in a travel agency form OJT or previous working experience
- Knows how to use Amadeus, Abacus and other systems
- Strong desire to be constantly challenged.
- Self motivated.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Can effectively communicate in spoken and written English
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High degree of maturity, leadership, and self-confidence.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be residing in/near Binondo Manila and Pasig City.
