Job Description
- Prepare money for different departments at the start of each day.
- Count the cash room safe by hand or machine.
- Cross-reference against the safe’s log.
- Count out money for the day.
- Log where and to whom will the money be distributed.
- Wrap cash and coins in preparation of requests for change.
- If he/she is responsible for one or more ATMs, monitor cash levels and refills as needed.
- Handle money order and petty cash requests unless handled by other areas.
- Be in charge of all the cash transactions that take place.
- They have to make entries for all the transactions daily and balance the books at the end of the day
- Do reports about the daily happenings in their department.
- Make money available in case the superiors require for company transactions.
- Check the money requests with their superiors before sanctioning them.
- Report any discrepancies they find with the transactions.
- Ensure all the collections are made on time from the debtors of the company.
- Help the Accountant of the company to maintain all the accounts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Additional courses in accounting and accounting software are helpful.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
