Job Description
SUMMARY
Sources for and provides goods and services required by user/department, within approved timeframe obtained from the most cost effective sources. Processes office supplies and equipment thru catalogue buying derived from MDM Catalogue.
ROUTINE
- Sources for and maintains reliable sources of supplies and services immediately upon receipt of requisitions.
- Ensures the following:
- Specifications/configurations indicated by users are complied with by suppliers and service providers.
- Items and services required are delivered on time at the proper location.
- All transactions are properly documented for on time payment processing.
- Negotiates for best terms and conditions favorable to the company (within approved limits).
- Advises user departments of status of requisitions.
- Warrants that all data input in purchase orders are correct prior endorsement for approval.
- Processes purchase orders for all office supplies and equipment thru catalogue/MDM buying.
PERIODIC
- Conducts annual evaluation of vendors and service provider and processing of accreditation of vendors and service providers as needed.
- Prepares monthly report on savings obtained from negotiated discounts, rebates, exchanges, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
- Preferably 1-4 years of experience in Purchasing, Inventory, Material and Warehouse Management, or its equivalent.
- Knowledgable about the fundamentals on Purchasing/Supply Management.
- Exposure in SAP system is a plus.
- Basic communication skills.
- Able to multitask, resourceful, trustworthy, and patient,
