Job Description

  • Monitor the short term trend of maintenance defects occurring at the Line Maintenance level via Maintenance Log entries / PIREPS and aircraft Post-Flight Report Summaries.
  • Monitor aircraft system failure messages using AIRMAN system on a proactive daily basis. Ensure troubleshooting instructions are issued to the Maintenance Providers to promptly rectify the indicated system failure(s) and prevent an operational disruption or AOGs.
  • Monitor all Open MEL items and deferred defects by following their progress in the Maintenance Information System (AMOS, Russell Adams etc.) and by liaison with the maintenance provider and at times provides troubleshooting recommendation for items under Trouble shooting status.
  • Develop troubleshooting strategies and plans to address complex, intransient and recurring defects, using published technical data and computerized troubleshooting tools.
  • Ensure all operational references entered on logbooks such as MEL /CDL/NONMEL are in correct applicability to avoid operational interruption brought about by issues of inquiry due to wrong entry of these references.
  • Involve external resources as required in development of the technical solution (Technical Services Reliability team, Airbus, Type Certificate owners, maintenance providers and equipment suppliers)
  • Coordinate additional technical assistance, and the provision of documentation and test equipment/tooling from external resources (aircraft manufacturer, Technical Services, suppliers)
  • Compile the necessary task-level data and instructions for the MRO to action repairs or troubleshooting.
  • Work with the PARTS Logistics.
  • Coordinates to procure and deliver parts required to rectify open defects or AOGs.
  • Ensure detailed logbook turnover to next shift group to have best continuity of operations avoiding lapses particularly issues affecting the aircraft operations.
  • Compiles all aircraft TECHNICAL remarks for MCC DAE aircraft technical remarks data files.
  • To observe company rules and regulations.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by his superiors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor's / College Degree Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or associated engineering course or five (5) years engineer A in L&BME or one (1) year Line Aircraft Mechanic “A”.
  • Must be familiar with basic aircraft documents – where and how to access/use, with regulatory documents
  • Must be familiar with Typical Fleet Technical Management Systems such as AIMS, AMOS etc
  • Proficiecy with Airbus Troubleshooting Systems (AIRMAN).
  • Preferably with Commercial Aircraft Technical training.
  • Preferably 1-4 years experienced employees specializing in Aviation / Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Meticulous reader.
  • With high sense of responsibility.
  • Team oriented and punctual.
