Job Description
Provide project management expertise. Supervise the Program Specialists and manage the allocation of their workload. Manage programs and special projects as assigned by the Director of Programs.
- Manage project administration including project assignment distribution, utilization of project management tools and techniques, and project documentation.
- Create a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities, resources (e.g. project timeline and budget) and personnel needed to successfully complete the project.
- Monitor projects from planning to implementation to closure to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project.
- Lead and manage the project team to ensure the quality and timely delivery of project objectives.
- Establish control and monitor key performance metrics (e.g. project schedule, budget) for all projects to effectively monitor and review the progress of projects.
- Responsible for monitoring project schedules and budgets and preparing progress reports.
- Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
- Manage issue logs and project risks and identify acceptable limits for each project and coordinate its interdependencies with all stakeholders.
- Responsible for the effective coordination of the projects and their interdependencies and any risk and other issues that may arise.
- Represent the Programs Department in Product Committee meetings.
- Provides mentoring, coaching or guidance to the project team members as needed.
- Provide support to Programs Specialists for decisions outside the latter’s authority or requiring higher expertise
- Coach Programs Specialists, evaluate their performance and provide feedback for career growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Business, Economics, Management Engineering or Industrial Engineering from a reputable school
- With 3-5 years working experience in a Specialist/Supervisory handling projects and people
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be a good team player
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly analytical with broad experience in managing cross functional teams
- Expert level in Microsoft Excel
- Functional knowledge of MS Project
