Test Engineer  

Core Function: Controls product's quality by leading and controlling test case design coverage, quality, and participating in automation activities

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Lead medium/small sized projects

• Lead QA effort estimation, requirement analysis, and test planning
• Request and follow up necessary environment/mall configuration from stakeholders
• Track requirement changes, and strategize when they affect timeline and quality
• Organize all test documents and project tickets for better tracking and auditing
• Ensure all pre-testing and testing activities are accomplished per deployment
• Perform quality checkpoint by ensuring sanity/smoke testing passed both in QA and Production Server before accepting the build from developers
• Conduct usability testing
• Manage and delegate retesting, regression, and integration activities
• If automation is implemented, run the automation suite
• Create bug or improvement JIRA tickets when an anomaly is found in the product
• Manage the overall distribution process including sending of release notice and maintaining Distribution and Version dashboards

2. Lead test design activities

• Create and finalize high-level test scenarios and data mapping based on planned test activities and review inputs
• Review and test cases and test data made by testers
• Ensure test cases covered all requirements
• Delegate test execution tasks to testers

3. Automate tests

• Create automation scripts per sprint
• Maintain correctness and coverage of automation scripts

4. Admin tasks:

• Delegates and monitors projects of his subordinates
• Evaluates the performance of his subordinates
• Provides training to his subordinates and to the new hires

• Temporary work from home

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Quality Management, Computer Science, or such.
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing
• At least 1 year of experience in automation scripting and testing preferably using Sikuli, AutoIt, Selenium Webdriver, or Selenium IDE
• Software testing experience in E-Commerce, Hosting, and Payment related platforms (plus)
• Logical and business/requirement inclined thought process
• Thorough Understanding & Mapping of Business Situation
• Data analysis
• Ability to define high-level scenarios out of the given requirement
• Expert judgment on good and bad test cases
• Experience in various test activities as API, System, Negative, Regression, Integration, and Security Testing
• Adaptability in fast phase environment
• Can execute and judge automation script quality
• Ability and speed to automate not just only tests but also the process
• Adaptability on automation coding standards and processes
• Software testing life cycle
• Coding skills using javascript (plus)
