- Identify new business opportunities
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
- Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and work closely with the Marketing Manager to identify which market strategies can be used to attract clients
- Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the area assigned
- Must be responsive to the customers’ needs and follow through on all aspects of request, both written and verbal.
- Manage customer expectations
- Create proposals and pitch them to prospective clients
- Acts as technical representative to the customer during the initial contact.
- Work with other departments to ensure adherence to client guidelines and SLAs
- Occasionally help with Marketing and PR initiatives
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 3 years working experience in digital marketing/ new business development
- A strong track record of business-to-business sales at a corporate level.
- Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to cold call potential clients
- Demonstrated ability at negotiations and closing deals with clients.
- Excellent organisational skills are essential as well as performance monitoring
- Must be able to operate Microsoft Office and associated programs.
