Job Description

The primary role of the MSL is to provide scientific information to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and to support medical / scientific information needs of HCPs in their designated therapeutic area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates scientific and clinical exchange between BI and HCPs
  • Serves as a reliable, trusted source of accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific knowledge requested by customers
  • Provides formal medical / scientific information to HCPs in response to unsolicited, specific requests with appropriate information
  • Provides and delivers important information to HCPs about the adequate use of BI products to prevent safety hazards or about the effective use of the BI products
  • Initiates interaction with HCPs to gain insight on issues or to gather specific feedback to guide internal decision-making
  • Foster KOL relationships, ensure scientific understanding and build appropriate advocacy;
  • Actively participates in Scientific and Medical symposia;
  • Facilitates name patient use program
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of BI products, BI pipeline and the competitive landscape

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (Medicine)
  • Previous experience as Medical Science Liaison or medical affairs personnel is preferred.
  • Strong proven track record/performance in the company
  • Strong ability to apply and leverage scientific and medical knowledge, especially being a solid subject matter expertise in pharmaceutical products, interpretation of clinical trials and outcome
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and interact with the medical and professional community
  • Excellent articulation, presentation and communication skills
  • Sound commercial acumen and able to constantly monitor the industry’s competitive landscape.
  • Strategic thinking, organizing and planning skills
  • Computer literate MS word, excel, power point, etc & similar software
  • Possess good interpersonal and verbal/written skills
  • Analytical and attentive to details
  • Fluent in English
