Job Description

BMG Outsourcing Inc is currently looking for an experienced Bookkeeping / Accounting Assistant for two Australian clients who run successful bookkeeping practices in Australia. You will enjoy working in our supportive modern environment with a chance to future your accounting career. Ongoing in-house training provided.

Job Description

Use your skill in Xero based accounting software to support our bookkeeping clients to grow their businesses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping/Accounting Assistance
  • Data Entry and account allocations using Xero accounting system
  • Collect scanned receipts for matching from Receipt Bank
  • Coding of Bank Statements and Bank reconciliation preparation
  • Produce Monthly financial reports
  • Document and follow up on queries in a timely manner
  • Prepare invoices as requested by the client
  • Debtors / Creditors reconciliation
  • Perform other accounting duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual enjoys bookkeeping and the rewards of completing their tasks with accuracy. Australian booking experience preferred.

Education and Experience

Essential:

  • Bookkeeping/Accounting qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Detail oriented, organized and a team player

Language and Communication Skills

  • Very good verbal and written English communication skills

Computer Skills

  • Xero Accounting software experience
  • File management and documentation of procedures ( Google Suite)
  • Experience with BAS preparation and GST calculations recommended
  • Basic Superannuation recommended
  • Reasoning, Personal Time Management, and Growth Ability
  • Able to logically and clearly articulate status and situations,
  • Work independently through tasks until completion
  • Excellent personal time and task management
  • The person is keen to learn and serve in all the fields of office administration
  • Other Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to details- focuses on getting the job done accurately
  • Excellent command of English
