Sales Agent  

As an IT technical sales specialist or consultant, you'll be offering software products and services (and probably some hardware enquiries as well) as part of a sales team.
On a daily level, your job is likely to include:

• Making a targeted number of Phone calls to prospective customers to pitch products and services based on their business requirements
• Attending initial sales meetings
• Decide whether the software or hardware needs adapting to meet the client's needs
• Answering any technical questions the client might have
• Presenting your findings to a technical team to act on, and then to the client

Usually, you'll work between 37 and 40 hours a week, 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to work longer hours at busy times. You'll work in an office, although you could, in some cases, work from home. Generally, your role may require a degree of travel.Initially, you will be doing Inside sales i.e. researching the right contact, and pitching the products and services to them. With time, and your interest, you could move into a client facing role for managing the entire sales cycle, i.e. from prospecting to close.
More than almost any other industry, in IT it's vital for sales people to keep up to date with new developments in technology. However, you will be given training on the job, both in-house and externally.

To be good at IT sales in Bluekore, you will need:

• Fluency in English and Tagalog
• Excellent Soft Skills (communication, listening, and analysis)
• Familiarity and ease with technology (software products like MS Office, Google Apps, PC usage)
• Experience selling to the Education and/or Small and Medium Business markets would be preferred. Selling technology solutions in these markets would be an added bonus.
• A keen interest in IT issues
• Initiative
• Presentation skills (not a deal breaker, can be trained over time)
• The capacity to work well on your own or in a team
• The ability to manage your time and plan your day effectively
• A bachelor’s degree would be preferred

IMPORTANT: Not everyone will understand what you’re talking about, so you’ll need the patience and the ability to interpret technical language for non-technical people.
