Job Description
- Plans and forecasts trends in furniture relevant to their market.
- Recruits suppliers that can meet company quality and pricing standards and maintain such relationships through constant feedback and communication.
- Negotiates the best price and discount possible for merchandise based on industry standards.
- Allocates the proper merchandise for stores based on location.
- Regulates purchase orders and creates exciting store promotions and coordinates with relevant departments regarding implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years similar work experience gained in a retail/ consumer products company.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and forecasting skills.
- Ability to deal well with different types of people.
- Well-organized, keen to detail, and result-oriented.
