Job Description
The Compensation Analyst (Portuguese) carries out salary and benefits surveys of employers in developing countries from our Operations Center in Manila, including Portuguese speaking countries South America and Africa.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting research using company-provided tools to identify employers for participation in Birches Group salary surveys in developing markets
- Contacting identified employers by telephone and email to invite them to participate in our salary surveys in Portuguese and English
- Conducting telephone interviews with employer compensation and HR managers to collect detailed information on salaries, benefits, and allowances offered by the company in Portuguese and English
- Analysis and verification of collected information using proprietary Birches Group software and databases
- Updating and maintaining compensation information in Birches Group databases and web portals
- Providing customer support to Birches Group clients on salary survey matters in Portuguese and English
Extensive training is provided. Following a successful training period, a language allowance is available based on the level of fluency of the Portuguese language.
Possibility of foreign travel to support in-country client engagement and the conduct of salary surveys after 1 to 2 years of on-the-job training.
Minimum Qualifications
This is a hands-on job in one of the most technical areas of human resources management so successful candidates will have good people skills in addition to working well with numbers.

- Excellent oral and written English and Portuguese is required
- Excellent communication skills—must be dynamic and engaging in telephone discussions and possess an ability to write in a clear and concise manner
- Self-starter – Motivation to learn and work independently
- Comfortable working in an informal environment with a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and exhibit grace under pressure
- Teamwork—good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with colleagues

- You must have the legal right to work in the Philippines upon application.
