Job Description

People Operations and Culture Manager

You will be working directly with the COO and the founding team of Bihasa, an e-learning platform focused on helping influencers, entrepreneurs and brands build world-class digital learning platforms.

We are looking for candidates who have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong accountability for both self and others, exudes a positive and pragmatic attitude, aims to be the best at what they do and constantly strives to improve, have a natural tendency to collaborate and build strong and lasting partnerships within and outside the organization. Bihasa is looking for a People and Operations and Culture Manager. This is a highly strategic role for the company, as a big part of Bihasa’s vision is the execution of an ambitious organizational structure. We want to rethink and redesign what a company looks like. We do not want a typical HR bureaucrat - we want an equal business partner who will drive business by helping Bihasa unleash and unlock the potential of every employee and partner we work with.

The urgent, main tasks are two-fold: a) to continue to develop Bihasa’s Partner Ecosystem, as opposed to developing a typical employee-driven organization. b) continue to build Bihasa’s culture across the ecosystem in such a way that it becomes an obvious competitive advantage

Our offices are in Marikina-Antipolo, but during this time of COVID, the work can be done purely online and we have flexible work arrangements and schedules. We don’t focus on the time you put in but place utmost emphasis on your results and how it impacts the business.

What You’ll Do

People Strategy development and deployment

  • Expected to work with the Bihasa Leadership Team to develop and deploy the broader People strategy
  • Responsible for guiding and implementing strategic and tactical people initiatives aligned to the business’s objectives
  • Drive the company’s employer brand

Drive Culture

  • Expected to continue the process of defining, documenting, evolving, and strengthening Bihasa’s culture together with the founding team
  • Create culture programs that support the development of the right culture

Build and Grow the Bihasa Partner-Ecosystem Program

  • Work with the Bihasa Leadership team to develop and execute the company’s Partner Ecosystem Program that will support the company’s service delivery.
  • Document and deploy the company’s delivery processes and standards to all Bihasa partners
  • Ensure proper adoption of our standards and processes by implementing performance management practices
  • Drive continuous improvement of our partner programs, strategies and processes by actively engaging all stakeholders and collecting timely feedback.

Policies, Procedures, and Legislation

  • Develop and Maintain the employee and partner handbook through regular reviews and update where necessary, especially where there are legislation changes
  • Regular review to simplify processes and communicate changes in a timely and transparent manner to stakeholders

We also expect you to constantly innovate, bring in new ideas, and be an advocate of Bihasa in any and every way possible.

Minimum Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. We need someone who can effectively communicate. Someone who can collaborate with both internal and external partners of the business using both digital and offline channels (i.e. emails, messenger apps). We need someone with high EQ, someone who listens and can easily create genuine rapport with people. Great writing skills are a big plus

  • Manager of One and has an Entrepreneurial Spirit. We want someone who is capable of building something from scratch and seeing it through. You need to be highly motivated, self-initiate, and determine what needs to be done, understand the company vision, and surprise us with their ideas and results.
  • Project Management skills. As again, there will be a number of projects and activities that need to be planned, executed, and completed as we build and grow this business.
  • Extremely Versatile yet is also extremely Detailed. We need someone who understands that in a start-up, you’ll need to be open and quick to adapt to various situations and scenarios. But also someone who has a very keen eye for the details and the accuracy of reports and information.
  • High Level of Integrity and Trust, needless to say, as you will be exposed to very sensitive and confidential information and assets.
