Job Description
- Manages local and international trademark portfolios, including trademark searching, filing of applications, filing maintenance documents, and responding to official actions. Prepares documents for filing with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL)
- Creates, prepares and manages trademark files. Manages and updates status reports to track the progress of local and foreign trademark related deadlines. Monitors deadlines to ensure these are met accordingly.
- Receives inquiries and correspondences from clients. For complicated inquiries and responses to official actions, seeks advice and clearance from Partners and/or Associate Lawyers.
- Reviews Bill Orders prepared by Paralegal Assistant.
- Assists Associate Lawyer and/or Partner in the investigation and analysis of legal claims and the preparation of cases for trials. Conducts research on trademark law as necessary.
- Communicates with clients verbally and through correspondence.
- Maintains good PR with government agencies such as but not limited to IPO, DTI, SEC, and courts.
- Supervises Paralegal Assistant on their day to day activities.
- Organizes office procedures related to Paralegal works.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of any 4-year college degree
- Strong communication skills both oral and written using the English language
- Keen research abilities
- Excellent organization abilities and attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer literate
- Excellent problem-solving skills
