Accounting Manager  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in Accounting related to either Inventory Accounting, AR, Deductions or Credit & Collection
• Prioritize multiple assignments, manage and review staff work, allocate resources as needed and ensure adequate timely and accurate task completion and the highest quality of service and customer service levels for internal and external customers are met. The setting is a fast-paced, high volume Shared Services environment supporting multiple locations.
• Oversees day-to-day operations related to the processing (3-way matching), disbursements of accurate and approved Non-PO and PO invoices, and manage all internal/external customer inquiries/issues.
• Responsible for training, supervising and hiring staff.
• Ensure compliance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Train staff on processes and procedures.
• Implement new policies, procedures, and new process improvements.
• Ensure timely and accurate resolution to all issues/inquiries (e.g., vendor invoice status, payment, remittance detail, etc.) received through email or phone calls and ensure that follow-up protocol for keeping customers updated is followed.
• Review and analyzes team’s work to measure results and ensure quality/accuracy/timeliness.
• Review team workflow documents procedures and implement changes to improve.
• Responsible for establishing processes and procedures to ensure that all approved invoices are paid in a timely manner, ensuring strong internal controls are maintained and adhere to compliance requirements.
• Partners with the Financial Controller to evaluate, analyze, and implement changes in policies and procedures to drive efficiencies in cost and accuracy.

• Must be a graduate of Accountancy or any business-related course;
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant
• At least 5 years of working experience in specializing in either Deductions, Inventory Accounting General Accounting; 3 years of which is in supervisory or managerial level
• Preferably with experience working in distribution set-up or FMCG companies
• Experience working in an auditing firm is an advantage
• Analytical and has good problem-solving skills.
• With excellent communication skills
• Good people handling skills
• With knowledge on SAP
• Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
