Process Engineer | Registered Mechanical Engineer  

Plant reliability (35%)

• Provides continuous plant support to ensure reliability at all times. Performs process trouble shooting activities to address issues identified during the Daily Production meetings.
• Submits recommendations for corrective actions to the Production Manager for evaluation and approval.
• Responsible for setting up process parameters (ie, cooking time, loading, chemical dosages, etc) based on raw materials test results.

Safety/GMP/Food Safety (25%)

• Actively participates in site Safety/GMP programs.
• Must advocate safety and GMP (incl ISO9001 and ISO22000) in all aspects of his duties and job responsibilities.

Process Related Projects (15%)

• Participates in production related project work from project planning and feasibility study; AFE preparation; to project start up and turn-over. Ensures that new installations can be safely and consistently operated by operators and that other issues (ie., ergonomics) are addressed.
• Ensures that new projects meet AFE expectations on potential cost benefits and/or operational improvements such as improved efficiencies and productivity.
• Oversees plant process trials and experimental runs. Coordinates with the shift supervisors and/or other local departments (ie QC) involved in the experimental studies.
• Communicates and/or provide feedback to both the Production Manager and Operations Manager on operational issues. Participates in the monthly project meeting

Backfill (10%)

• Assumes the responsibilities and duties of the production manager when called upon. However, critical decisions must still be approved by the Operations Manager.

Manager Process Technician (10%)

• Must be a Professional License in Mechanical Engineering
• Preferably graduated with honors
• With or Without experience
• Familiarization on the following would be an advantage:
  • SAP Business Systems, Microsoft Systems
  • 6 Sigma and other productivity and statistic tools
  • ISO Management Systems, HACCP and GMP
  • PLC operations
• Proficient in both oral and written English
• Proficient in both oral and written English
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to handle stressful situations
• Have excellent time management and organizing skills
• Can work with less supervision
