Job Description

I. SUMMARY

An IT Support specialist is responsible in providing technical and troubleshooting assistance related to computer hardware, software, wireless, mobile devices, and other IT-related systems and applications. This includes but not limited to:

  • Helpdesk ticket monitoring and resolution.
  • End user support, PC maintenance, and IT equipment inventory.
  • Biometrics Enrollment/Deletion.
  • Account Creation/Deactivation/Password Reset.
  • Network and server monitoring.

II. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS

1. Ticket Handling and Technical Support

  • Manage lifecycle of all IT tickets.
  • Coordinate or escalate network issues with vendor ISPs or Miami IT.
  • Assist with the maintenance and operation of all workstations.
  • Provides technical support to end users and executives.
  • Assist in the development of user guides and policies & procedures.
  • Apply OS patches and security upgrades to all workstations.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain CCTV system.
  • Manage and maintain Biometrics system.
  • Coordinate with vendors for any IT equipment and consumables purchases.
  • Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware and software.
  • Assists in system and network monitoring.
  • Responsible for issuance of accountability forms.
  • Create ticket and productivity reports.

2. Projects

  • Plan and perform requested seat movements.
  • Re-format/Clone/Image company desktops and laptops.
  • Manage and perform IT equipment inventory.
  • Complete other IT-related projects/tasks assigned by the IT Manager.
  • PC preventive maintenance and cleaning.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education/Training

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any computer-related field.

2. Background/Experience

  • Atleast 1 year experience working within the IT Department.
  • Proven working experience in providing IT support.
  • Prior BPO experience is a plus.

3. Skillset required:

  • Technical support, installations, configurations, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
  • Ticket handling and resolution.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Leadership Skills.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Strong Work Ethics.

  • Multi-task.
  • Time Management.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Flexible.
  • Results Oriented.

This position would require you to be on a flexible shift schedule. Weekend shifts are possible.

Contractual for 1 month
