Email Designer  

Overview

• An Email Designer is responsible for developing the visual elements of our email communications. This will involve working with the marketing team to develop a variety of creative concepts, versions and tests.
• This position supports marketing for both DiscountMugs (90%) and Branders (10%).
• This position also works closely with the Web Designer by providing home page & social banners for the website that are integrated with the email messaging.
• He/She Develops and maintains email creative. This includes but not limited to:
• Designs email messages aligned with our brand identity, promotion schedule, and marketing content schedule.
• Develop a wide variety of email design concepts to target different customer segments and industries.
• Sets up the approved email content in Hubspot for review by marketing.
• Partner with internal teams providing creative input.

Critical Functions

• Website Management
• Website maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Reviews all elements of site design from a human factors (i.e., ergonomics of human/computer interaction) perspective to ensure maximum usability and to ensure alignment with the organization's overall objectives
• Establishes and maintains the organization's website graphics standards, techniques and methods.
• Analyzes website technology trends to identify new techniques and ensure optimal site design
• Creating mock-ups of pages, or specific sections of web store pages.
• Work with marketing team to create and execute SEO, and social media strategies including creating weekly social posts.
• Designing of hero, homepage banners for specified pages of the web store.
• Managing of static pages of the web store.

• Education/Training:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Communications, Advertising or equivalent.
• Background/Experience:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Web Design
  • Experience with email marketing.
  • Prior experience in HTML and/or CSS.
  • Experience with 3rd party Email Service Providers such as HubSpot.
• Skillset Required:
  • Has expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Creativity with strong sense of composition and visual UI
  • Knowledge of web media and technology.
