- Assist the Paper Machine Department Team Leader in performing and implementing program development, systems improvement, planning, design, reconfiguration and maintenance of all paper machine facilities, structures and equipments.
- Plans and prepares shutdown schedule for the paper machine department in coordination with the support services.
- Establish control and maintenance of departmental and other relevant records and ensure proper safekeeping of supplies, operating materials and paper machine equipment spare parts.
- Prepares work schedule for the machine crew.
- Assist the PMD Team Leader in preparing performance reports of the department.
- Monitors usage of operating materials including finishing and packaging materials, personnel protective equipments, and paper machine crew tools.
- Coordinates with Team Leaders, Production Shift Supervisors on various
activities and planned actions pertaining to production schedule, material
availability, quality, engineering standards and production equipments. - Coordinates with Purchasing on timely delivery of needed operating
materials, parts and materials order status and other related documents. - Monitors production output daily and updates relevant functions on Internal Machine Order balance status.
- Deputizing the Team Leader and/or Supervisor in company and departmental meetings as well as other duties delegated during their absence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
- Must be technically competent and well versed in all aspect of paper machine operations.
- Strong interpersonal relationship in all levels of the organization.
- Ability to anticipate and responds effectively operational demands and assists
in achieving safe and efficient paper machine operation. - Ability to plan, set-up, and execute projects related to facility, operational and system improvements and developments.
