- Conducts daily safety and security inspection and identify unsafe practices, conditions, fire hazards and other abnormalities seen and correspondingly recommends corrective measures through communication/coordination and/or thru the use of work order system
- In-charge of safety, security and 7S housekeeping inspection and prepare report for team leader’s immediate action.
- Monitors and prepare safety and security reports and statistics for presentation during crew/staff meetings or when needed.
- When out of the mill, regularly coordinate with the security-in-charge on mill safety and security condition/problems, if any.
- Responsible for mill safety and security 24/7, and coordinate with HRD TL/MANCOM immediately for any abnormalities.
- Prepares and submit monthly report to HRD team leader.
- Conduct pre-employment safety and security orientation to newly hired employees and contractors.
- Conduct safety and security lectures, fire brigade training and hands-on drills and operation of fire-fighting equipment.
- Monitor issuance of major personal protective equipment.
- Oversees and supervises inspection of fire-fighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses and fittings.
- Responsible for the maintenance of adequate amount of fire-fighting paraphernalia in stock.
- Responsible for mill drinking water bacteriological testing.
- Daily briefing of security guards.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least with two (2) years experience as Safety Practitioner
- BOSH Certification preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
