Apartment 1B first opened its doors in Salcedo Village in 2006 with its chef and owner Marivic Diaz Lim, cooking and developing a menu which consists of gourmet comfort food, dishes that she would cook in her own home with the best quality ingredients. Through the years, Apartment 1B’s best sellers have been its Baby Back Ribs, Pork Chops, Grilled Blue Marlin, Fish and Chips, Baked Samosas, Spaghetti Vongole, Eggs Benedict, and many more. Apartment 1B is truly a gastronomic delight!
As the name suggests, Apartment 1B’s interiors are meant to make you feel like you were dining in Diaz-Lim’s apartment with an open kitchen. Apartment 1B has expanded in One Rockwell and most recently, in the Henry Hotel in F.B. Harrison, Pasay City. Architect Popi Laudico designed both the Salcedo and Rockwell outlets. The new outlet in the Henry Hotel is quite different from the rest of the outlets as the restaurant adapts to the post-World War II era-theme of the hotel with interiors done by Eric Paras.
With its excellent service and consistently good food, the popularity of Apartment 1B and Marivic Diaz-Lim has increased over the years and the restaurant has created a loyal following across the metro and beyond the neighborhood.
She has created other brands to add to her roster of restaurants. Kitchen 1B is located in KL Tower in Gamboa St., Legazpi Village and offers healthier food choices made of power ingredients. One might want to try, among others, its Eggs Benedict for breakfast or its Lamb Curry or its Grilled Mango Bbq Chicken for lunch or dinner.
Pablo 1B in Picasso Boutique Serviced Residence along L.P. Leviste Street, Salcedo Village is a bistro-bar offering a multi-cultural assortment of dishes inspired by European bistro cuisine. Among the crowd favorites are the Squid Rissotto, Mushroom, Valdeon Cheese Pasta, Seared Yellowfin Tuna, Twice-Cooked Half Chicken and its U.S. Angus Striploin Steak. Enjoy the food while listening to various musical artists featured on weeknights.
