Job Description

The Training Supervisor position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance and recognize performance of team members across the company. With the direction of People and Culture Manager and the Training Assistant Manager, this position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions to team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. People Development

  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis for Commercial and Non-Commercial Operations to align capabilities with the strategic requirements of the business.
  • Conduct and facilitate training activities for identified programs
  • Perform the pre, during and post program coordination, and reporting the results of the following:
    • Management Development Program
    • Culture Programs and Employee Engagement Programs
    • Commercial Operations Program
    • In-house developed training programs
    • Outsourced training programs as needed
  • Monitors Training Programs of team members as reference for Employee Movement working with HR Officer Employee Relations.

2. Continuous Learning and Development

  • Assists People and Culture Manager and Training Assistant Manager on curriculum development aligned with career development.
  • Give recommendations and creative/technical inputs to help the People and Culture Manager and Training Assistant Manager in designing/redesigning modules/systems for Training and other behavioral/corporate training programs.
  • Assists in the development of QFSCH (Quality Food, Service, Cleanliness & Condition, Hospitality) standards and training innovations that may be adapted as an acceptable Commercial Operations and Non-commercial Operations standard practice.
  • Design and facilitate in-house trainings and workshops including team building.
  • To commission and manage external resources when required to facilitate training programs.
  • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other training materials.

3. Administrative

  • Review and evaluate training and apprenticeship programs for compliance with government standards.
  • Oversee and train trainers and line trainers in skills and techniques for training and dealing with employees.
  • Conduct audits to observe performance and check compliance to People & Culture systems and standards of Commercial and Non-commercial operations.
  • Oversees Training Assistants for materials and venue preparation for training sessions.
  • Maintains an organized filing system.
  • Enforces Company Code of Conduct within the department.

4. Workforce Engagement

  • Assists in employee selection and movement of employees under supervision.
  • Coaching and development of team.
  • Conducts regular performance evaluation of immediate reports. Identify strength and developmental areas.

5. General Reporting

  • Prepares and/or oversees the evaluation of training programs.
  • Audits and monitors Performance Management System as reference for Training Programs.
  • Assists the Training Assistant Manager in creating ad hoc reports and prepares data for Training Unit.
  • Presents reports according to Training metrices.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • College Degree in Behavioral Science, Human Resource Development Management, AB Psychology, or equivalent four-year course.
  • At least 5 years solid experience in Human Resources Training and Development/Organization Development as Supervisor/Officer position.
  • Previous experience in Training Needs Analysis is a must.
  • Must be willing to work in Quezon City and travel to store branches occasionally in and out of Metro Manila.

Banapple operates a cake showroom cum cafe at the facade of this kitchen. Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes is a novel find in the metropolis. In addition to pies, cakes and cheesecakes, Banapple serves yummy home-cooked style hot meals like the well-loved chicken parmigiano, lasagna roll-ups, and hickory-smoked country ribs as well as sandwiches, pastas, and great pancakes. Banapple has become a pleasant landmark, and commuters stop for a quick take out to and from work and school. Bakers, waitstaff, and store management team are friendly and offer fast and personalized service. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks, anyone can enjoy yummy meals and excellent desserts alongside good coffee any time of the day :)
