Job Description
The Cash Management Associate is in charge of facilitating operating cash transactions for the Parent company and its operating subsidiary. He/ She processes cash receipts and disbursements, prepares various status reports, analysis, and forecasts, and ensures proper cash monitoring for planning and execution of funding requirements. He/ She is expected to work closely with the company’s partner financial institutions and other stakeholders; acting in strict accordance with the company’s values, policies, and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure availability of cash and the appropriate recording of cash transactions.
- Maintains a detailed record of all cash transactions.
- Coordinates the printing, signing, sealing and distribution of payroll accounts payable checks.
- Maintains accounts payable and pay disbursement check register.
- Maintains inventory of accounts payable and payroll checks.
- Obtains and maintains supporting documentation for checks above specified limits.
- Processes stop payments on AP checks.
- Prepares manual checks for payroll and accounts payable.
- Maintains receipts of all bank transactions.
- Gathers historical and current data on accounts.
- Monitors and reconciles system-wide accounts.
- Assist in the periodic review of cash policies and procedures for internal control.
- Operates most standard office equipment and check processing equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, accounting, business, or equivalent work experience;
- Minimum 2-years of experience in an accounting, treasury or finance function;
- GL accounting background;
- Good spreadsheet and database management skills;
- High accuracy and attention to details;
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and initiative;
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Oracle/ Netsuite knowledge desirable.
