Bookkeeper  

Our Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining the business’ financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments. They will record financial data into general ledgers, which are used to produce the balance sheet and income statement.

Our ideal candidate is detailed, organized, and prompt with their tasks. You will work with the core management team, and update them for the reports and compliance related items.

Job Description:

• Update and maintain the general ledger
• Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
• Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
• Monitor any variances from the projected budget
• Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principles including the recordation of journal entries, asset depreciation schedules, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and reconciliation of bank statements
• Applying strong accounting skills, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing backup, journal entries, and all bookkeeping through financial statement preparation
• Other duties that may be assigned by division head

Requirements:

• Candidate with Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting / Management or relevant fields
• At least 2-3 years of work experience as a General Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Analyst or similar role
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation is a plus
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures
• Proficient in Quickbooks Online
• Accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely required, as well as a track record of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits
• Ability to interpret data and make cost effective decisions
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision making capability
• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
• Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Part-time schedule with the opportunity to become full-time. Initial work hours required will be 15 hours per week.
