Data Scientist  

We're looking for an applied statistician and/or data scientist to help provide additional insight into the data we're collecting, our methodologies and the way we're presenting our data to customers. Data is focused on financial products (e.g. home loans, car loans, etc.) so familiarity with ‘Fintech’ and related financial products is a plus, but not required. Experience in clickstream analysis and/or other eCommerce data would also be valued.

Responsibilities:

• Designing data acquisition trials
• Analyzing sampling techniques
• Assessing results
• Analyzing and visualising trends
• Applying statistical methodology to complex data
• Designing and implementing data gathering/management computer systems and software
• Supervising junior statistical staff
• Using statistics to make forecasts and to provide projected figures
• Presenting information in a variety of formats
• Conveying complex information to people who may not be specialists
• Liaising with colleagues
• Attending meetings

A degree in a numerate discipline such as statistics, economics or mathematics is normally required, although qualifications in operational research or medical/life sciences are also acceptable.

A relevant postgraduate qualification is essential for graduates without appropriate first degrees. Prior relevant work experience is a big plus, but not a requirement.
