Job Description
- Creating the physical data models in Hive.
- Creating the logical and physical models in Erwin Data Modeler.
- Data mapping
- Provides the optimization strategy for the existing data models.
- Reviews the deliverables to ensure completeness and correctness against the business requirement.
- Ensures that the physical design meets the standards set by the Data Architecture team.
- Works with other Data Architects in developing the data solutions.
- Guides and provides inputs to the Solution Architects on the implementation of different BI solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in data modeling related work.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL development
- Must have experience in designing and/or developing a mid-large scale data warehouse.
- Experience in implementing various relational or NoSQL databases or Hadoop technologies. (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, Hive, Pig, Impala, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase)
- Experienced on either Reporting or ETL is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Should be knowledgeable on data warehousing implementation using MPP databases.
- Should be knowledgeable on both 3NF and Star Schema model implementation
- Should be knowledgeable on various Hadoop implementation strategies
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Should possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or with a team depending on the scenario.
- Knowledge of SDLC with emphasis on design phase
- Candidates must be willing to work in BGC Taguig.
