Technology Specialist  

This position is in charge of the development and implementation of systems and tools for technical functions servicing the projects being developed by the company at project planning and design, construction, commissioning and startup, and transition to normal operations.

• Tools in Project Development
  • Develop and maintain the historical database of item costs as a reference for CAPEX and OPEX estimations.
  • Align and ensure uniformity in implementation and enforcement of standards and regulatory compliance requirements related to engineering design, construction, and process safety, through the issuance of engineering directives (ASME, ATEX, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, IEC, NEMA).
  • Acts as the focal for process safety in engineering design and construction. Facilitates / interfaces with third-party contractor/s for the creation and maintenance of HAZOP, SIL, Radiation, and Gas Dispersion studies, functional safety charts, hazardous area classification, and other process safety assessments.
  • Point person and works hand-in-hand with the Project Coordinator for the implementation of Management of Change and Project Safety Reviews throughout the project’s life cycle.
• Mechanical Completion and Startup
  • Conduct of pre-startup safety review and closing of punchlist as stage gate prior to the plant commissioning.
  • Ensure documentation and certificate requirements have been cascaded and collected from applicable civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and technology contractors and vendors prior to the declaration of mechanical completion.
  • Consolidat performance guarantees of technology and EPC vendors and ensures these are met during plant startup.
• Transition to Normal Operation
  • Acts as focal for Operational Readiness Review and interfaces with the company’s nominated responsible individuals for the identified functions.
  • Spearheads alignment with AP Gen for the definition of performance strategy and key performance indicators such as equivalent availability factor and equivalent forced outage rate.
  • Develops systems in procurement, warehousing, inventory, maintenance, administration, distribution, laboratory and other functions, as required.
  • Reporting
  • Creates, maintains and submits weekly, monthly, and end-of-year accomplishment report to Technical Support Group Lead.
  • Seeks approval of requests for leave, under time, and certificate of attendance.
  • Seeks approval in attending training, seminars, and workshop.
  • Seeks approval of purchase requests related to the job.
• Other Duties
