Job Description

Infrastructure Provisioning and Maintenance

  • Performs installation of standard software applications in workstations, and ensures that they are updated with latest patches.
  • Performs installation and configures IT equipment according to user requirements and set standards.
  • Assists in ensuring availability of network and data communication lines (Leased Line/DSL/IPVPN) to users.
  • Assesses and recommends new data communication infrastructure with the aim of lowering cost and/or improving communication quality.
  • Ensures workstations are at optimum performance. Recommends corrective or preventive measures where system deficiency is found or anticipated (i.e. due to obsolescence).
  • Performs preventive maintenance on IT equipment.
  • Identifies non-performing site IT systems and recommends possible actions.

System and Database Administration

  • Creates, monitors and maintains proper user access to IT resources.
  • Performs backup and restoration of software, files and databases identified as business critical.
  • Problem and Incident Management
  • Provides timely response and resolution to a reported IT concern.
  • Prioritizes reported IT incidents and support requests ensuring uptime of IT operating environment are within committed service level.
  • Assesses and escalates incidents and problems that require expert solution or management decision.
  • Educates users in the proper use of IT tools to maximize user productivity.
  • Identifies, recommends and conducts activities that help increase IT awareness and knowledge of company user community.
  • Provides awareness of proper backup and recovery procedures for end-users
  • Provides consistent and timely feedback or advisories on the downtime of IT services up to restoration.
  • Information Security/IT Governance
  • Performs risk assessment for IT assets.
  • Assists in implementing and promoting compliance to Information Systems policies, standards and procedures.
  • Assists or facilitates user awareness training on Information Systems Policies, Standards and Procedures.
  • Ensures proper documentation is in place in the execution, implementation and administration of IT systems and service delivery.
  • Recommends improvements on IT service support and service delivery processes.
  • Change and Release Management
  • Provides proper documentation of all plant site and office IT assets and maintains updated inventory of servers, network and workstation configuration setups.

Performance management

  • Creates, maintains and submits weekly accomplishment report to Technical Support Group Lead
  • Prepares and submits monthly status report and updates on SQP initiatives at end of month.
  • IT and IS Incident Management
  • Notifies on any issues affecting work deliverables.
  • Reports any IT security related issues
  • Seeks approval of requests for leave, certificate of attendance, undertime and overtime.
  • Seeks approval in attending IT related training, seminars and workshop.
  • Seeks approval of purchase requests related to job.
  • Other Duties
  • Perform other related tasks and/or functions that may be assigned by Technical Support Group Lead.
About Aseagas Corporation
Aboitiz Equity Ventures through Aseagas Corporation has partnered with Gazasia Ltd., to establish a liquid bio methane business in the Philippines. Gazasia’s team has built an operating plant that produces liquid bio methane fuel (LBM) in the UK and will be Aseagas partners in building several plants in the Philippines. The LBM process takes methane from landfills or organic waste, cleans the gas and then liquefies this into fuel for vehicles similar in specification to LNG but made from 100% recycled organic material.
