Job Description

  • Provide support for addressing the increasing requirements for transparency, compliance and corporate governance by accounting bodies.
  • Provide support for the necessary coordination between GAAP reporting requirements and reporting requirements based on regulatory or utility accounting methodologies.
  • Provide and document research, interpretation, and application of financial accounting regulations and pronouncements for specific matters relating to the transformation of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Independently research and document various accounting and industry information sources to accurately interpret requirements.
  • Provide support for month-end and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Provide training for employee-partners on changes in specific matters relating to the transformation of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in Marketing is highly regarded
  • The ability to explain complex financial topics in a simple yet still engaging manner
  • Oversee and challenge the business to ensure they have controls in place to manage compliance risk.
  • Contribute to annual planning processes, including identification of emerging compliance risks, weaknesses in controls, and engagement of business leads.
  • Work with the business to develop and monitor compliance and customer outcomes KRIs to highlight any emerging issues
  • Supporting the preparation and coordination of financial forecasting and reporting, Annual Operating Plan and Resource Plan;
  • Preparing financial inputs to internal reports and presentations;
  • Performing financial analyses and provide both external and internal reporting for Business Unit and Division;
  • Applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial report

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any business-related program
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite;
  • Eagerness to learn, with excellent communication and self-motivational skills to meet deadlines and ability to communicate with all levels of management;
  • A team player, independent, proactive and possesses excellent problem solving and organizational skills to collaborate with various disciplines
