IT Manager  

Responsibilities:

• Managing help desk jobs, planning and prioritizing systematically to minimize backlog and ensure operational efficiency
• Managing Infrastructure including physical servers and virtual servers
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, telephony systems, networks, printers, and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks ensuring maximum uptime
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
• Maintaining Citrix and remote access software incl. BYOD

• Setting up equipment and access for all new starters
• Liaising with IT vendors, external suppliers, and other contractual partners to ensure timely procurement of supplies and

Services

• Ensuring that building security systems and access cards are managed accordingly
• Ensuring data backups are taking place on a daily basis and backup tapes are stored offsite
• Keeping up to date with technologies and applications where possible to ensure best practice
• Maintaining a register of all software, licenses and maintenance agreements that the firm has
• Updating user guides and manuals with respect to IT issues
• Maintenance of a register of iPhones, iPads and other equipment

Qualifications/Knowledge

• Good rudimentary understanding of Affinity and all associated products i.e. Windows product range

• Knowledge of workplace policies

• Experience in operating Microsoft Office suite and in house software including Affinity
• Experience in operating telephony systems
• Knowledge and experience in Infrastructure management including servers and backup technologies
