An interesting opportunity has arisen that would allow the successful applicant to join a start-up to help deliver the software platform for a new digital asset securities exchange; focused on an institutional client base. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience of building scalable mission critical systems on the Amazon AWS cloud services.

You will be working alongside a growing dev team. This role is varied. We are seeking someone with a general all-round skill set that is used to simply getting stuck in. It is vital you possess good communication skills and are comfortable dealing with all levels of the business.

The right applicant will have experience being a hands-on technical leader able to operate in the weeds when necessary but also at improving processes and technical operations across the group. The infrastructure team operates as one across the globe. Applicants should be comfortable supporting and working with all clients across any location and at any level.

Your Skills:

Non-management role but with great DevOps experience in the areas as summarized below:

• Experience in implementation of cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS.
• Hands on experience using command line and Yaml manifests to deploy in AWS EKS clusters.
• Hands on experience implementing Ingress/egress and routing policies within AWS and EKS
• Linux administration, maintenance and optimisation
• Securing Linux systems, containers and pipelines
• Experience in deployment automation, monitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS), including monitoring and alerting
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Hands on experience implementing network designs and overlays according to design
• Scripting experience (Bash, Groovy, Jenkinsfile, etc )
• Agile experience (SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
• Experienced with full CI/CD life cycle across non production and production environments
• Experience of penetration testing, stress testing and performance testing
• Desirable:
• Experience with AWS Cloud Formation
• Experience in finance with real time trading systems/market data
• Experienced in working with multinational global teams
• Experience working with Development teams (exposure to Software Development Lifecycle)
• Experience in development (higher languages, strict data types, dynamic languages)

Desirable:
